Glenwood School is a community Special Educational Needs school (SEN) which currently caters for learners aged 3-19 years, with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Built within the grounds of the existing premises in Benfleet, the new school allows the consolidation of the adjacent Montgomerie Primary School. The school will provide a new SEN environment for 210 pupils including 60 specialist places for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated staff.
A two storey finger block with a central street assists with wayfinding, while facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, trampoline room and sensory therapy rooms provide specialist environments designed to calm and assist with learning.
